Fresh fruit is something that I grew up with always being around the house. Papaya especially is something that reminds me of being at my Abuelos (grandparent’s) house. My Abuelita, who I typically call Tita, almost always is either washing or cutting up some sort of fruit. Now In my own apartment, I find myself having bowls of cherries or grapes out and try to keep my fruit basket stocked up. This week I decided to grab some of the more exotic fruits since they remind me more of home.
Growing up I typically only had papaya with a little bit of lime and Tajin. But I wanted to branch out a little more and try something entirely new. So I experimented with a new smoothie recipe which I thought I’d share with you all, below is my little papaya smoothie recipe:
Ingredients:
– 1 cup of chopped papaya
– 1 banana
– 1/4 cup of greek yogurt
– Splash of agave
– Handful of ice
Instructions:
1. Blend all of the ingredients together and enjoy!
