Some of you may have noticed on my Instagram that I tend to gravitate towards coffee shops. As a law student in a busy city, I love finding a nice place to stay caffeinated while I get some work done. So I thought I’d share with you some of my favorites.
Seattle is a city full of coffee options. So why Capitol Hill? Capitol Hill is central to where I go to school and where my home base is. It’s full of unique coffee shops that all have different personalities and perks. Here is a little list of what you can find at all of the coffee shops on here.
– Free Wifi
– Good Coffee
– Friendly Staff

Nice mellow spot to try out. One thing that I love about this place is that none of their tables are tiny, which makes for a great place to get work done. Victrola has lots of dark wood and a nice warm environment. There’s also a great selection of different pastries to choose to go with your coffee.
Living up to its namesake, smack in the middle of Capitol Hill is this must-try coffee shop. With the tall windows, this place is filled with lots of natural light all year round. The decor here is filled with pops of green and an awesome mural in the back. Plus there’s an awesome chair swing in the back. Capitol Coffee is almost always filled with other people typing away or working on something. Feel free to come in, plug in, and type away. My personal favorite thing to order here is their cold brew.
A hidden gem in Capitol Hill. The interior of this place is absolutely amazing. Lots of plants and neutral tones. Easily a great place to get work done if you like a quiet place with a little bit of 80’s music in the background. Also, Realfine has a great alternative milk list for you to try out!
Just at the top of Capitol Hill is this awesome coffee shop. The vibe here is very mellow and down to earth. When you’re waiting for your drink feel free to meander on over to the records sections. You might just find something that sparks your interest.
Bonus: breakfast tacos are featured on the weekends!
Last but not least! The doughnuts at General Porpoise Doughnuts are easily addicting. Keep an eye out for their specialty fillings from time to time. General Porpoise has a French feminine feel to it that makes for a bright working environment, even during through the Seattle grey. Lots of different seating styles to choose from. My favorite place to work is at the big table upstairs in the little loft.
Whether it’s for a quick cup of coffee or powering out some work, consider trying out one of these coffee shops. You might just find your new go-to place.
