Queen City Seattle

Queen City is quite possibly the oldest bar in Seattle. It’s history dates back to 1910 when it was originally known as Queen City Saloon. Over the years it has gone through a few changes. Linda Derschang has put her own twist on this classic Seattle spot.

Stepping into Queen City you immediately feel like you’re stepping back into Seattle history. The atmosphere is easy to get lost in. From the beautiful artwork and taxidermy to the gorgeous dark wood bar, everything draws you in.

The menu changes seasonally and has changed since I last visited. Thankfully the mussels and the crudite plate are still here at the moment. I highly recommend trying both with one of Queen City’s “Current Mood” cocktails. There’s easily something for everyone on the menu.

For an added bonus Queen City now has Sipsmith Gin Martinis now on tap!

So if you’re looking to shake up your after-work routine or are looking for a nice place to impress someone, give Queen City a try. You won’t regret it. I’m already looking forward to the next time I pop back in.
