Hey there. It’s been a while since the last time I posted. I’d like to just say thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Over the past few months, I’ve been busy with a few different things from starting my last year of law school to starting up my own Etsy shop. I’m so grateful for all of the support that I have received with starting up the shop! Opening a shop has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a while but never truly pushed myself to do so until now.
A few months ago I took up painting in order to help combat stress. The more I painted and drew the happier I felt. As I’ve shared my work on Instagram it has made me so happy seeing others enjoy the pieces I’ve created. Opening up the shop has been a whirlwind of fun and I can’t wait to see what else is in store.
My hope for the shop is to create more pieces that can bring you joy in your own home. A lot of my work features warm color palettes because the colors remind me of growing up in Southern California. Living in Seattle with all the grey and the clouds are just one reason why I like bringing some warm colors into my home. Realistically, I just really have a love for terra-cotta right now and am bringing that color into every aspect of my life.
Now some of you might be wondering why my shop is called the Indigo Fox if I love warm colors so much. The Indigo Fox to me is a reminder of my family, myself, and art in general. The initials IF is a nod to my own initials standing for Isabella Foxen. Fox is a shortening and another nod to my own last name and favorite animal respectively. Whereas Indigo at the time I chose it was and is still one of my favorite colors. It’s just too hard to pick just one favorite color.
I hope you all are enjoying my little corner of the internet. I can’t wait to see what else the Indigo Fox has in store and where it leads me to next.
Until next time,
